I don't fly often, but traveled out of state and back last week and I have to say, killing time at the airport was much more enjoyable seeing first hand all of the little details you teach us in your videos. My family may beg to differ after being taught about 777 main gears and barking dogs against their will, but these little details are what make aviation interesting! I know your videos take a fair bit of effort to produce but they sure do make my day. Keep up the good work and your trademark optimism, Stig!

At 1:04:38 it looks like the engine on the left of the united plane taking off is producing alot of smoke, I found this curious because i thought most planes nowadays are basically completely smokeless, im sure its safe, but do you have any idea what might be causing it?

@@StigAviation that's completely fair. Gopros are also known for losing footage randomly and that would really suck if you were recording all day. Oh, we do see you. At least some of us like to watch how many ground crew, AMTs surround the plane immediately once it reaches the gate. Last fall had something like an 8 hour delay out of DCA with AA when the 321Neo wasn't playing too well. I supposed it was being fixed at a hangar and then when after 6 hours or so it was finally towed to the gate, it turned out something with the avionics still required attention. Then the boarding started and shortly after - those who were first to board had to be deplaned as the computers were acting up again. Eventually, we boarded the bird and made it to PHX. Every minute I as well as other pax around the gate appreciated what the technicians do in getting our flight airborne. On another occasion, me and my wife walked up to our gate for a long 777-300 hour flight way early, like with 2.5 hrs before boarding or smth. It was late evening I called her up to the window to see the aircraft we would be flying on. There she was - her nose in the darkness with someone in the flightdeck we couldn't make out. It was a busy airport with every other pax going about their stuff and only two of us were staring at the aircraft. This was probably seen from the dark outside and don;t know coincedence or not, when we waved 'Hi' to the aircraft the NLG lights came on! Magic moment ). Thank you guys for all the hard work you do so we can travel.
